    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) is provided by the military to help active service members with housing costs, and can be used for either on- or off-post housing.

    • The Housing Management Office (757) 764-5040 will be your first point of contact when you receive moving orders, and provides services that will help you with referrals, relocation assistance, guidance for entering a lease agreement and tenant-landlord disputes.

    • Single Airmen ranked E4 or below with less than 3 years of service can contact The Unaccompanied Housing Office (757) 865-1330.

    • On-base housing at JB Langley-Eutis is privatized. To check available housing for your family size and rank, contact Hunt Military Communities (888) 468-0035. They have 3-5 bedroom duplex and single family homes with varying amenities, such as: washer & dryer hookups, central A/C and fully equipped kitchens. The community features basketball courts, splash parks, and swimming pools.

    The cities of Hampton and Newport News are part of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area, on the mouth of Chesapeake Bay, a metro area with about 1.7 million people. It is about 20 minutes from downtown Hampton to Langley or from Newport News to Langley. The cities near Langley AFB are: Wythe, Poquoson, Newport News, Hampton, Grafton, Seaford, Gloucester Point, Williamsburg, and Norfolk. 

    About the Installation
    Joint Base Langley-Eustis is a joint military base that was formed by combining Langley Air Force Base with the Army's Fort Eustis as part of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Initiative. Joint Base Langley-Eustis is located in Hampton, Virginia and continues to offer air support as well as military training to many military personnel. Langley has one of the oldest airfields in the Air Force's history and is home to the Air Combat Command and the first unit to use the F-22 Raptor, the 1st Fighter Wing's 27th Fighter Squadron. Eustis is home to the US Army Training and Doctrine Command, in charge of training doctrine and weapons innovations. For more information click here
